What you store
Use Backflow Record to keep the details you enter for a backflow test report, plus assembly notes, dates, and a PDF copy of your own record. See features and the report field checklist for what you can gather before you write it up.
What backflow means here
Here, backflow means water moving into the pipes of a potable water supply from a source other than the intended source. EPA also describes a cross-connection as any actual or potential connection between a drinking water system and another supply or source that could contaminate it. See the guides for a plain-language overview.
What this app does not do
Backflow Record does not perform the assembly test, replace a licensed tester, or act as a water supplier form. It is a place to keep your own record, not a substitute for the work done in the field. The app also does not tell you how often a water supplier or local program requires a report.
Guides and the waitlist
Backflow Record is still on the waitlist for iPhone, and web and Android are planned. You can read more in the guides and join the waitlist from get the app.
A report in Backflow Record is a record you fill in. It is not a substitute for a licensed tester or for the form your water supplier requires. It does not report an inspection result, and it does not mean a plumbing rule was met.
