How a record gets onto the phone

Here is how a backflow testing app works when it is only a record. You create a blank, type what you saw, and keep a PDF. Backflow Record does not read a gauge, does not score the numbers, and does not upload the file to a water supplier.

Four steps

Start with a blank record, enter the field details you observed, add notes and readings as needed, then save a PDF for your files. If you want a quick checklist before you begin, see report field checklist or review what is included in Backflow Record.

No account

Backflow Record is set up as a simple record keeper, so you can fill out the report without creating an account. If you want privacy details, read privacy. The app keeps the record on the phone until you choose what to do with the PDF.

Not the field procedure

This is not the field procedure itself, and it does not tell you how to perform testing. An EPA survey report describes a cross-connection as any actual or potential connection between a drinking water system and another supply or source that could contaminate it. For step-by-step field guidance, see RPZ testing procedure.

A report in Backflow Record is a record you fill in. It is not a substitute for a licensed tester or for the form your water supplier requires. It does not report an inspection result, and it does not mean a plumbing rule was met.
